On the CEO’s Side – December 2024

What an incredible time we had in Toronto last week! A few political visits with our president Dr. Lynn Murphy-Kaulbeck as well as our Ontario conference with over 200 engaged members, an interesting program (thanks to the program committee!), speakers who were up to date on the latest recommendations, and a summit on endometriosis that makes us want to set up multidisciplinary clinics in all provinces. After a well-prepared strategic planning session, the board also held its December meeting to approve the 2025 budget and give us the strategic directions for 2025.

We are doing well, and it is largely thanks to your commitment, dear members. The team thanks you for being there to help us organize all these educational activities for our members. I also invite you to check out our informational documents, accessible to all on the website under “Resources”.  

We have made the first announcement to notify you of the vacant positions on the board of directors and in our clinical committees. We have reviewed our practices to shorten the duration of meetings and optimize your precious time. 

In this era where it is so difficult to be an obstetrician-gynecologist or a subspecialist, we must all stay mobilized more than ever to ensure that women and the LGBTQ community do not lose their rights. We need all of you to speak with a strong, unifying voice. We will be there to represent them at all levels of government to ensure that women will continue to receive the necessary services for their sexual and reproductive health despite the 2025 budget cuts. 

We have great projects ahead; you’re going to love them 🙂
